Ice Breaking

Boarding Sturgeon Bay The North Jersey Council supports all the sea services, and enjoys an especially close relationship with several local Coast Guard units. Pictured is USCGC Sturgeon Bay, preparing to embark on an ice breaking detail up the Hudson River. Several members of the council are boarding, to ride along. This picture was taken last Winter. Monthly Meetings We meet on the first Monday of every month (second Monday of September), at the Bonfire Restaurant in Patterson.

Directions to the Bonfire:
Heading West on Rte. 80, get off at Exit 59. Bonfire is on the right at the bottom of the ramp.
Heading East on Rte 80, get off at Exit 61. At the bottom of the ramp (traffic light) turn left. Go 100 feet. Turn left into Rte 80 West entrance ramp. Go to Exit 59.
Local Directions: Go North on Lakeview Ave through Clifton and Paterson. Bear right as Lakeview ends at Market St. Cross Market St. and turn right into the Bonfire lot.
